Analog Interconnect
Pearl, a new Consequence Series analogue interconnect is terminated with rhodium-plated RCA or XLR plugs, and is made of OCC copper conductor. The outer diameter of Pearl interconnect forced us to use innovative plugs. One of the new technological solutions is double screening of each multi-wire conductor and additional screening of the whole cable. Thanks to such screening the signal is not affected by an electromagnetic field. All Consequence cables are screened in Double Screen System system; unique braids of different density are applied to provide full protection against external influences. The development of Multi-Shields system was a highly labour-consuming process that involved hundreds of hours spent in the laboratory. Consequence Series is strongly recommended for Hi-End systems.
Modification 0.2: The next generation of interconnect introduces two major changes – new plugs and wire termination (in the new process the wires are tightly coaxially twisted). Pearl in the RCA version is equipped with new WBT plugs (WBT-0152 Ag nextgen™ technology) or Furutech RCA plgus (optionally). The introduction of new plugs optimizes analogue connection – the highest signal quality is ensured by pure passivated silver and the new design with the electrostatic protection system. The XLR version is equipped with new AML-XLR20-Ag plugs with the enhanced non-magnetic construction and black spray-painted finish. In the XLR version connecting surfaces are silver-plated and protected in the passivation process. Acoustics Points POM-C AP50 antistatic coupler was applied in order to provide an excellent protection from static electrical changes and eliminate micro charges on the cable surface delivering lossless signal. The coupler is mounted with a non-magnetic screw. Although the changes also incorporate the visual design, the cable maintains the character and uniqueness of the Consequence series.
Update 2021: The diameter of the conductor has been increased from 0.64mm to 0.75mm, while the outer insulation has been reduced to make the cable more flexible.
